A bit about me… I had 12-year old veneers which I switched out with another dentist in 2022. Everything was going great until they glued the final ones on — which were nothing like what we’d planned. They were bulky, unnaturally white, at strange angles and, worst of all, terrible quality. After just 2 months, one had cracked and the others were taking on staining that good porcelain shouldn’t.
I suffered through them for just over a year, but realised just before my baby girl was born that I was hiding my smile - both in photos and everyday life. So I hatched a plan to get them redone. I couldn’t bear looking at them anymore and feeling as bad as I did.
After extensive Googling, I came across HRS and landed on Neil’s page. His qualifications and experience just seemed to strike a chord with me. So I went in for my initial appointment and the rest, as they say, is history.
Neil worked with me to create a smile I was happy with. First of all, there’s no doubt that he is an artist when it comes to cosmetic dentistry: I now know what all the reviews are about. His vision for a great smile that suits my face shape couldn’t have been more on-point, and I am so overjoyed with the results. It sounds silly that teeth can have such an impact on you - but with a great smile, I am confident showing my teeth, laughing and even talking to people without worrying. Plus, whenever I see photos now, I think ‘wow, these are incredible’ rather than 'oh my god, what have I done'.
Secondly, Neil managed to put into words what was wrong with my new set of veneers done by the previous dentist. This was reassuring in that I wasn’t going crazy and picking faults! He also recommend some equilibration treatment before the veneers to improve my bite which we did - and I now no longer get headaches from grinding my teeth all night long.
Finally, I had real trust issues after my previous treatment, and a lot of anxiety around getting them redone, and Neil was so patient with my many questions. He really took the time to explain things and go through them in detail as if it was no problem for him. This is what you call 5* care.

I've just started using HRS, following a very intense pain in a tooth, I was booked in, very quickly and had my first check up to get an over view of my dental health. They sent me a detailed break down of all the treatment I'd need, needless to say it was an expensive list, due to nearly 10 years of no dental visits.
As a fully grown male, with an aversion to needles, dentists, or anything "medical", I have been incredibly apprehensive about getting work done, but the pain in one of my teeth, left me with no choice. Being told I needed a root canal as soon as possible, they booked me in very swiftly. Emma has been very good at keeping me calm, comfortable and at ease through the process so far, and has been great at informing me of what's happening, why, when, options, risks, etc. as someone who hates visiting dentists, I can honestly say, I've never had such a pleasant, easy experience. I can't thank Emma and the rest of the team, enough.

I'm now 56. Finally, I'm listening to her patient, professional advice and guidance on how to tweak my cleaning, and as a result she no longer needs to have painful visits with me, cleaning my teeth! I had the Ice brace system for 8 months, although I was nervous, everything went really well. I then had a course of tooth whitening, which worked fantastically. Then the final treatment was to have 4 front crowns, which are so natural looking, along with some fillings and reshaping of the back teeth.

I’ve had three months of problems with teeth giving up the ghost, chipping, breaking, so three visits.First, Neil, had to extract a rear molar, I’d had it root canal filled a few years ago but the nerve had never settled.(previous dentist!)
It had broke off on the side so removal, (with the root issues,) was really the best option.
Never having had a tooth pulled, especially a large upper, I had no idea what would happen. I am mightily relieved Neil carried out the procedure. I shudder what might have taken place at my former practice.
It was no easy ride in any case, thinking back to what took place, I am still amazed how pain free it all was and even though Neil issued me some pain relief tablets, I never needed any. I now await an implant and hope that will go as well as the extraction.
Next, another, (opposite side molar) tooth broke. Vic dealt with me, an emergency filling covered the hole so my tooth stopped grating against my tongue, then three weeks later,(today) a crown was fitted.
I needed four injections but they were administered with care and precision. The prep needed was lengthy and jaw aching but as if by magic a crown was made onsite while I recovered and fitted in an hour and forty five minutes. (The whole procedure). Currently it aches, more like a very tired muscle that’s been pushed all the way, but not tooth ache.
If you want pain free dentistry, with care and professionalism, then I recommend you try HRS, Stonehouse.

I was looking for a new dentist after having a filling fall out a few times and being told that they would have to use an amalgam filling if it fell out again. I didn’t want to use amalgam and found HRS Dental when looking for dental practices that don’t use amalgam. I was very scared to get my filling done after having a bad experience with my previous dentist when the anaesthetic did not work properly and it was painful. It's now 6 months since the completion of my 'repair work' to my molars which started to crack and fall apart in my early 20s. Until visiting Neil Harris at HRS Dental, no dentist ever queried the cause of this and over 25 years merely patched them up with fillings or temporary fillings which would always fall out a few weeks later. It got to the stage where I carried a dental repair kit everywhere to do my own replacements.
Having been told by my latest dentist looking intently upon 5 cracked molars with missing cusps and another which had split and was falling apart, that I had 'nothing to worry about for at least 5-10 years' I became desperate for some proper help. I contacted HRS Dentalcare and had the first detailed examination of my life when it was spotted my teeth didn't meet correctly thus leading to pain, breakages and difficulty chewing. This was followed by equilibration to correct the alignment and five CEREC crowns on the broken molars. Since then I've been able to eat normally, chew again for the first time in decades and even gained a little weight.
I should also add that I am a dental phobic yet somehow I got through 8-months of fairly complex treatment involving long appointments. This is testament to the approach, care and professionalism of Neil Harris and HRS Dentalcare which simply isn't like any other dental surgery I've ever visited (and there have been many...). Nor does it even smell like a dental surgery. It's also the first time I have ever been completely numb during dental procedures - and even the injections were pain-free which is another new and positive experience to add to the list.
Highly recommended. A worthy 5-stars earned for its 5-star service, treatment and professionalism.

I recently decided to take the plunge and have six month smile braces fitted. I cannot believe the difference after only 3 and half months. The braces should be off in 6 weeks, one month ahead of schedule and I will have the straight teeth I have always wanted.
