Before choosing Bristol Dental Specialists I had been told by 3 others dentists that I needed braces. I was extremely nervous about having braces (heading into my early 30's) but after my first consultancy call with Ben, I felt right at ease and I knew I was in safe hands.
1.5 years later the braces are off and I couldn't recommend Ben and team enough! I had exceptional care throughout with regular checkups and the customer service was always top notch, very friendly and highly skilled with dentistry knowledge.

I had a consultation and oral surgery for the removal of a molar yesterday.
I was greeted in a very pleasant manner by the receptionist and shown to the dental surgery where I met my oral surgeon and practice nurse both of whom were extremely kind, professional and friendly, taking great care to put me up my ease.
The procedure was carried out in a very careful manner and I am thrilled to say that I have very little post operative discomfort despite being several stitches.

I could not recommend Bristol Dental Specialists enough - a five star service. Ben Cross was my dentist and he was so accommodating to my situation: I wanted to do Invisalign but during a year where I was travelling lots for work and not in Bristol regularly. They set me up with a small scanner so I could send photos remotely each week and Ben would respond within a few hours to update me on progress (whether I could move on to my next retainer or if I needed to stay on my current one for a day or two longer). Ben also helped me sort a scan out in Houston at one point! The team there were always on hand to answer any questions - really happy with the the results and the service.

As an ongoing patient of Bristol Dental Specialists since April 2021, I have much praise for the team. My complex case has been overseen by Lyndon Meehan. At each stage, I felt there was careful consideration into the best course of action. I have spoken to three of their specialists before they decided root canal treatment would be the starting point.
Due to a large infection from many years of neglect, my dental health has suffered. Lyndon explained in great detail what he planned to do and reassured me as we went along. He has reviewed the progress on follow-up appointments and stalled on finishing the root canal filling until he is satisfied the infection has been managed. He also keeps my financial interests at the forefront of his approach. At no point have I been made to feel rushed into a procedure.
It's a shame he is now moving on from BDS as well as Agnieszka the dental nurse who assisted him. They were a great team who made me feel comfortable during these daunting visits. Overall, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I am looking forward to building the same trust with whoever comes next.

Having a fear of dentists after some unpleasant dentist experiences as a child, I have put off having an implant for over a decade. My very good NHS dentist recommended Adrian Watts and Bristol Dental Specialists, my first experience of private treatment.
Adrian, ably assisted by Chloe, couldn't have been better. A combination of professionalism, skill, state-of-the-art equipment and compassion meant that, after my initial consultation, I was confident enough to go ahead with the treatment . At every stage, the whole team kept me well-informed, including after care instructions.

Former orthodontic patient of Darren, having found myself in dire need of help after poor dental work elsewhere led to a cracked root and over 18 months of pain, infection and misdiagnosis by my regular dentist.
My first consultation was with Lyndon who identified the source of my problem and advised that the tooth was beyond saving, referring me to Adrian.
Adrian has been incredible. I had nerve damage arising from the previous issue and he supported me through that, extracting the broken tooth and installing an implant. Every step of the journey I’ve felt well cared for, have been advised and made fully aware of what’s happening, received great aftercare and follow up and now we’re here. My implant journey (for the moment) complete but with full knowledge that I have a specialist in whom I have absolute confidence should the need arise for further work.
The implant process itself was far more straightforward than I’d anticipated; the alternative for me had been an appliance (bridge work) but I’m really happy that I opted for the implant. It looks exactly as my tooth had, the alignment is perfect, there’s no special care required (over and above regular teeth cleaning) and I can’t understand why more folk don’t opt for this solution (I’m in my 40’s and the prospect of a removable appliance just wasn’t on my horizon.
I’ve no hesitation in a solid five star review, I could go into great detail about the traumatic period that preceded my treatment but it’s been transformative, far beyond cosmetic benefit.

Excellent experience. I have had difficult experiences with dentists in the past, I've found the process can often be untransparent, there is a significant power differential and it's painful! However, I've had nothing but a good experience working with Adrian, he has been very straightforward, there is little hard sell, he's happy to explain things. You get a real sense that he's good at what he does, and enjoys it (!!!). The whole team are very friendly, the room has a lovely view of Berkley Square. It doesn't feel obsessed with aesthetics or overly medicalised. I'm not sure it's the cheapest option, but if you can afford it I would recommend it.

My daughter was treated by Mrs Rebecca John for serious discolouration of her front incisor. The discolouration made my teenage daughter feel self-conscious. Mrs John is very knowledgable, highly qualified, research lead consultant who looked at my daughter's issue in a very complex manner, taking into consideration both long-term and medium term medical, aesthetic and psychological prospects. Mrs John explained all the possible options and every step of all procedures thoroughly, including all the possible risks and consequences. She also patiently answered numerous questions I had. As for the treatment, Mrs John did microabrasion followed by a composite veneer. The main aim of the procedure was asthetical to remove the visibility of the stain and to match the colour of the treated incisor with the other one. The end effect is stunning and my daughter certainly feels confident now.

This was my first experience of having any major treatment done, namely, having root canal treatment, requiring four hours of work over two sessions and I couldn't be happier with the whole process along with the final results.
The whole team was extreamly friendly, helpful and highly competent and the user experience was the best I've experienced; From Darren first greeting me before I had even entered the building, or answering and finding out any queries I had between or after sessions, to Lyndon and Agnieszka carrying out the treatment, I was never in any doubt as to what to expect from each treatment session or the payment process.

Amazing service! Staff really do go above and beyond to ensure that you feel welcome and at ease. My daughter is autistic and needed a tooth removed. After a disaster at our normal dentist who was just trying to look at the damaged tooth, i thought she would need a GA to remove it. But with patience and care the team at Bristol Dental Specialists managed to not only remove the tooth but leave my daughter happy to return for a check up a few weeks later. In fact she has asked since when we will be going back to see the staff again.

Last November I had a Coronectomy and this was done by Eithne. I also had a scan by Adrian. Both were assisted by two of your nurses.
All the staff, including the receptionists were very friendly and most helpful. I felt completely safe, with the procedures re Covid in mind.
The procedure went well and, to date, has been successful. My local Dentist is now keeping an eye on it.
The whole organisation has been set up very well and certainly enabled me to avoid a hospital stay and is a huge asset to Dental services.

Bristol Dental Specialists have delivered first class customer care from my very first (online) consultation. I chose to go for Invisalign braces back in July and have been so well looked after in my online and in-person appointments, with Ben and the team talking me through the process and providing all the necessary safety precautions in light of Covid19. I'm about half way through my treatment and really pleased with how things are going. The team are efficient, knowledgeable and friendly and have gone out of their way to make me feel at ease and give me straighter teeth - I would thoroughly recommend them.

I have recently had treatment and cannot praise the service enough. The safety measures to limit the spread of Covid was excellent and the staff were very efficient and extremely friendly. The receptionists, Helen and Lizzie organised our car parking and could not do enough to help. Adrian and Ami carried out a scan and the result was explained very simply to me. Yesterday Eithne assisted by Ami performed a Coronectomy very efficiently and today Ami phoned me at home to see how I was. I am very impressed by the whole team. A zoom consultation was set up at the beginning and that, too, worked like clockwork.

I opted for Invisalign treatment, which, naturally comes with a list of questions, but Dr Cross answered everything and made me feel at ease and confident in my decision. From the very first telephone enquiry to Helen, my daughters case has been handled promptly and professionally. This is a great facility, meticulously clean with excellent hygiene precautions and in great surroundings, easy to get to and to park - in the centre of Bristol! The practice is in a great location in the centre of Bristol and has a lovely, friendly atmosphere. All of the staff are helpful and will go out of their way to make your time at the practice comfortable. Darren throughly explained every step of the process and he was always more than happy to answer any questions I had.
I travelled over from Wales to see him, but in my opinion, travelling any distance would be worth it to be a patient of this practice. I have never been happy with my teeth they were very compacted and misaligned which has always affected my confidence. Due to dental issues this year and facing the prospect of potentially losing a tooth, I was advised to look into orthodontics. Due to COVID, I had to wait for treatment but during this time Darren and his team were there for me whenever I had queries or worries. I have been suffering from an ongoing problem with my teeth for nearly two years and had begun to accept that life was just about living with discomfort in general and would be for the rest of my life. Adrian took an x-ray and diagnosed the problem in under five minutes. Within two appointment my life was transformed completely. My confidence improved and my quality of life was returned to me.

Ben, Rebecca, and the rest of the team couldn't do enough for me. The booking process was smooth and Rebecca was incredibly helpful in talking me through potential options before my appointment. On arrival a tea was waiting for me (they had checked in advance what I would like to drink) and forms were quickly filled out. During the appointment, a 3D scan of my teeth was made (no old fashioned trays of purple gunk!) which can be sent directly to the labs. Ben spoke knowledgeably about options and was upfront about costs and financing options. He avoided too much time in the scary chair and was friendly, calm, and reassuring throughout. Following the appointment the team have been communicative via email and really couldn't do more to give me a good experience.They are also liaising with my normal dentist which makes everything easier. They're a new practice but don't let that put you off, they definitely know what they're doing!
