I'm usually an NHS dental patient, but on one occasion had to use the private dentist Dr Farid, as I had an infected tooth under a bridge which needed to be extracted.
Firstly, I didn't even know that this could be done as I was told that this bridge would need to be cut to expose said tooth. And I was worried as the regular dentist Tariq was honest and kind enough to advise me that although he could perform the same procedure, that should any complication arise that required being seen by the hospital, it would take a lot longer to be treated as an NHS patient, whereas via the private dentist, they would see me much much sooner.
I have to say that I was extremely grateful that I was told this and given the choice. Needless to say, being a little nervous, went for the private option.
Dr Farid and his lovely nurse Sahdia were fantastic. Both put me at ease and he explained exactly what he was doing, step by step.
He cut through the bridge and removed the bothersome tooth in a matter of minutes. I must add that both his and his nurse Sahdia's treatment was outstanding, putting this worried patient (me) into a confident and pain-free place.
If money was no object I would only ever use the lovely Dr Farid and his lovely/friendly assistant Sahdia.
This being said, Tariq is a good dentist too, and this practice is lucky, just like us patients to have them both, together with Sahdia.
