I am a very nervous patient and struggle with dental appointments. Today i had an appointment with hygienist hayley. She was absolutely amazing. She saw from my face as soon as i walked in how anxious i was. She put me at ease immediately, didnt make me feel i was been silly. She is the only person i have seen there for a long time who actually asked about my phobia and what had caused it. She was very patient and caring throughout the whole procedure and made me as comfortable as possible. What a credit she is to your practice! I couldve hugged her afterwards! Please keep her, as i find it extremely difficult having to see new people everytime i come and i know if i had another apointment with her, i wouldnt be as reluctant to come.

Myself and two children recently went for our annual check up. My children were both a little bit apprehensive but the dentist and his dental nurse made them both feel at ease and they both got a sticker afterwards. My son did not want to sit in the chair so the dentist let him sit in a normal chair and he was happy enough to have his teeth checked after bribery with a sticker. I recently had dental implant work and despite always having been very nervous of even routine dental work, all the staff at Wood Dental put me very much at ease. From my initial consultation with Donna right through to the final implant fitting, all the staff were warm and welcoming. The procedure was very well explained and everone was happy to answer my questions as they arose. Craig and Yasser were fantastic, they and the nurses who looked after me talked me through everything that was happening, as it was happening, and kept reassuring me that it was going well, which I found stopped any reason for panic. I would highly recommend Wood Dental to anyone, but especially nervous patients like myself.

Had four very unattractive front teeth taken out by Sumaiya Karolia and I can’t praise her enough. I have been thinking about this for a couple of years and was very apprehensive especially as the last tooth I had taken out was very difficult and painful. Sumaiya was so kind and patient at every appointment, even when I sat and cried! I needn’t have worried. Apart from the injections I never felt a thing as each tooth was extracted and despite being on blood thinners I’ve had very little bleeding. The dentures are a great fit too. I’m can’t praise Sumaiya enough and all the nurses throughout my appointments have been brilliant too. Thank you so much.

I had some type of infection on the sides of my mouth for about 1 year before I came here and I had several prescriptions from my Dr and blood tests but they could not sort it.
I had 1 prescription from Mohammed and the infection is cured.

Brilliant service and treatment. Fadi was excellent I had been advised to have root canal treatment and I was very wary as had it done some years ago and was extremely painful and uncomfortable. Both Fadi and Manu put my mind at ease and assured me it was going to be fine. They were both right if I ever need any of this treatment again ( hopefully I wont , ha ha) I will not be worried at all. I have had 2 root canal treatments in last 3 weeks and it was no worse than a normal filling or treatment. Having had a lifetime of poor dentists, I was nervous and suspicious of meeting a new one. I Knew that I needed substantial work.
Though the first meeting passed in a blur with me not really taking everything in, Manu instantly impressed me with his knowledge and instant program of treatment.
On the day of most of the worst treatment (today!) both Manu and his brilliant and caring assistant were constantly making sure that I was okay.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this practice, particularly to anyone who (like myself) has grave concerns about a visit to the dentist.

I had a badly broken tooth and my previous dentist had removed me from their list (despite them cancelling my last check up).
I contacted a few dentists but it was Wood Dental who offered me an appointment.
A few weeks ago I saw Fergus Robertson who took X-rays and explained that my damaged tooth was beyond repair and would need to be taken out. Plus he recommended another few fillings
Yesterday I arrived and had my extraction. Fergus and his nurse were fabulous. Very reassuring. Luckily the tooth was extracted very easily (and quickly too).
I have no adverse side effects and the extraction site appears to be healing nicely.
I could not recommend Wood Dental highly enough. I am not an overly nervous person but I was looked after very well.

I had a tooth extraction. I`m a nervous (petrified!) patient and I appreciate that all the staff at the practice try to be gentle with me. My dentist explained what would be happening - numbed my gum, talked through the actions he was taking. My dental nurse was reassuring. Both gave me time to calm down (my heart was pounding) before I left. I was clear about what to do after the extraction to look after myself, and I was comfortable that if the bleeding did not stop I could return to the surgery. The bleeding stopped. I took pain killers. One week later my `gap` is much better and I know I`ll be back at the surgery in a few months to discuss how to fill my gap. (trying not to think about yet another trip to the dentist though!)

Just got back from the dentist. Dr Dhara was absolutely out of this world. I am from a generation when dentists would just drill into your mouth for the fun of it so haven’t been for years as have been absolutely terrified. Went a month ago as was suffering with toothache. Made 2 appointments for treatment. Dr Dhara put me totally at easy and explained exactly what I needed. She reassured me every step of the way. She didn’t rush and constantly asked if I was ok and if I needed a break. I would personally like to thank her and the team around her for supporting me and reassuring me and showing me that a visit to the dentist isn’t at all what it use to be like. She is a young modern dentist with modern techniques and very good chair manner. If anybody who reads this is worried about a visit to the dentist then don’t be. I felt very safe and the covid precautions were excellent. I managed to get an hygienist's appointment although I am still waiting for my regular check up appointment from last year.. One point I would like to mention though is the answering machine message needs updating. It is still saying that no bookings are being taken and everyone will be contacted in due course. Because I put the
phone down three times over the weeks of waiting after hearing this when trying to book my hygienist's appointment, I assumed hygienists appointments were also not being offered. When I decided to stay on the phone to see if it went on to ring, I found out that the hygienist is working but only offering hand scales. This suits me as this is all I have due to sensitive teeth. My teeth finally got their long awaited scale and polish and Katie did an amazing job as always! Thank you!

I had some emergency treatment on 5/8/20 and I was very satisfied with how the surgery dealt with covid restrictions. I was called the day before to complete covid screening questions. The dentist then called me later in the day to discuss the treatment I was booked in for. On the day of the treatment I was met at the door by a member of staff, my temperature was taken, hand sanitiser provided. I was ushered straight into the treatment room where the dentist and dental nurse were waiting for me with full ppe on (not just a visor). Once my treatment had finished a member of staff escorted me to the side door to for me to exit the building. There were no touch points as I was asked to pay over the phone etc.
I was really impressed with the safety measures the surgery had put in place and it gave me confidence that patient and staff wellbeing was put at the forefront of the service they provided. Thank you

The systems in place to protect customers in these difficult Covid times were excellent, The dentist and nurse had very good PPE throughout my scaling and cleaning, and were friendly and pleasant as always.

My wife and I cannot praise this dental practice enough. There is quite a few Dentists at the practice so you get to see your regular practitioner that you know and trust. We have the pleasure of having miss Haq as our Dentist and Louise who is a very efficient nurse, they both go out of their way to make sure all is as it should be and nothing is left to chance.
Just one more thing I have to praise the reception staff who work hard to get you an appointment in an emergence even if it's not with your regular Dentist.
