As soon as I walked through the door I was greeted with a smile & made to feel at ease. She asked all the right questions and also recommended the 3 correct sizes of brushes to use daily, which were given to me when she had finished. I had a cosmetic problem with my existing crown and implant, but my then regular dentist did not do cosmetic dentistry, you had to travel to Manchester. However, I found Shelley and pope and I'm so glad I did. When I first started going last summer I was awaiting a much needed operation, which didn't go to plan and I had to keep cancelling my appointments. The team understood my position and was very patient. I have now finished my treatment and I must say a big thank you, James you have done a really good job I love my new teeth. I thank god I was referred, by my dentist, to Shelley and Pope Dental Practice & Referral Centre. They were excellent from start to finish. Firstly I had an initial consultation with Dr. James Tinning ('James') who was extremely thorough, great attention to detail which I loved and I liked James from the beginning and felt I and my teeth and the intended 'construction' in my mouth were in very safe hands. I had quite a lot of work done, and enjoyed every session, towards the end goal which was my Rolls Royce new teeth. It was mainly to do with my health and continuity as the before, then after, was really demanding and highly frustrating.
My new 'Rolls Royce' teeth took all of that away, look stunning, and still are to the present day.
I commend James for his professionalism and for all of the above and work 'top and bottom!!' with absolute comfort like I had imagined myself on the dentist chair in first class on a high end airline.
Constructively, bridges were created, to motor on towards the skies!

I was really anxious but was made to feel reassured I was in good hands. Everything was explained including different options for treatment, there was no pressure just expert clinical guidance and information. Having now completed my root canal treatment over a number of weeks my anxiety has massively reduced and have genuinely had a very positive experience. I cannot thank James and his assistant enough for their care. The receptionists too are exceptionally friendly and go above and beyond to accommodate appointments around working hours.

Whilst on holiday in Portugal last week I had a heavy fall (Mancunion - a right cropper!). I fell on my face and knocked one of my front teeth implants out. I was devastated! I contacted James at Shelley and Pope. He was immediately helpful and arranged for me to see him the day after I arrived home. James inspected the damaged implant, took xrays, and fortunately for me imparted the good news that my implant was repairable. He needed to obtain an essential part from suppliers but would order it that day and if possible replace the tooth the next day. It was possible, so I left the practice smiling, thanks to James.

I found the team to be friendly and efficient. It was easy to make (and alter) appointments. The dentist (James) was professional, thorough and helpful throughout. He gave good advice and explained everything to me as the course of treatment progressed. We discussed alternatives at each stage. I went for implants which took a while - you have to wait for each stage to heal - but the result is very good. I am really pleased with the appearance and function of the replacement bridge.

Starting with Tooth Whitening I then went on to have Three new Crowns on my front teeth. The treatment was done over several weeks. Each visit I was put at ease by Simon and his nurse. I have been going to this dentist for over 15 years now. I was first a patient of Andrew's after a lengthy time away from dentists due to past bad experiences. Andrew is courteous, genuine and most of all exceptionally kind and patient and made me change how I felt about regular visits to the dentist. I then became a patient of Simon's several years later and was at first worried about changing but Simon is equally as invested in his patients. This whole culture is embedded into the entire practice. Everyone is welcoming warm and just incredibly nice from the ladies on reception to even passing people in the surgery. honestly could not recommend these enough, i have been with them for years and they have always been nothing but friendly and helpful not to mention going the extra mile on numerious occasions for me. whether that was simon communacating with me out of hours and even offering to attend the surgury on a sunday to see what he could do to help with the pain or even the smaller things like getting your passport signed the same day when you need it doing quickly, just an all round good experience.
