During this time I have always been impressed with the level of very high quality clinical service. Indeed, when I had a high pressure job, I used to look forward to appointments as it meant I could have a relaxing break, away from phone calls and distractions.
All the team are very friendly and welcoming. Quite often my appointments are a time of laughter; quite unique for a dentists.
The practice itself is attractively decorated and yet still retains all the period features of Regency architecture.
It's the attention to detail that makes the difference, such as a self service coffee pod machine and the latest magazines or newspapers to peruse while you are waiting.
As soon as you enter the door to when you leave, you know that you will be very well looked after.
Through having regular check ups my teeth are in the best condition they have ever been in and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

People are surprised when I say how much I enjoy going to the dentist, but Regency House is such a happy place and everyone is so friendly. I have a six-monthly check-up and any treatment needed is made as painless as possible. My teeth and gums are kept clean and healthy by quarterly appointments with the hygienist who advises me on the measures that I can take to look after my teeth and gums.

The Regency House Dental Practice is staffed by people who take great pride in offering a professional. courteous and friendly service. As soon as you walk through the door you are warmly welcomed and invited to go to the waiting room. Here you can read today's Times, take a cup of good coffee from a variety of pods and listed to music on the Pure radio. The soft pastel coloured walls are decorated with stunning photographs taken by one of the dentists, while the relaxing atmosphere is enhanced by the scent from the aromatherapy diffuser. The dental nurse then accompanies you to the treatment room. Not only do you receive first rate clinical treatment, but additional medical checks such as feeling lymph nodes for any abnormalities and checking jawbone movement. I see lying in the chair not as an ordeal to be endured, but rather a chance in the day to completely relax. I have often almost completely "nodded off" during treatment! I have been a patient at this practice since it originally opened and have always been delighted with the treatrment. I have no hesitation in recommending the practice to new patients.

Helpful and friendly staff, as is the service, it is open late some days so that helps if you can't get time of work 👍, it's primarily a private dental clinic, so expect some large bills, so would recommend you have some sort of dental insurance/payment plan. The only other thing is that there is next to no parking and what there is, is pay and display.

So much so that I really have forgotten that I ever had any apprehension about going to the dentist! I would certainly be very apprehensive if I ever had to change to another practice. I hope that doesn`t happen any time soon.

Excellent practice! It was easy to book an appointment, and the location is conveniently in town centre. The waiting area was clean and attractive, with nice new wooden toys for children, and a television and music. My toddler was with me, and the dentist and hygienist were comfortable working with her on my lap, stopping work when I needed to tend to her. The exam and scale/polish were done quickly, and the dentist was thoughtful to stop and give breaks because my teeth are very sensitive. He clearly explained my treatment plan and options. His care seemed thorough but not doing work that was unnecessary. The front desk staff were helpful in explaining pricing plans and options. All in all, it was a great experience and I'll definitely refer friends!

I have been a patient of Dr Barley now for 20 years or so and value his professionalism and that of his team. Dr Barley will only recommend work which really needs doing and this is very important as some dentists seem to view their patients as 'cash cows'. Their charges are fair and reasonable and the quality of the work is excellent. Dr Barley will take time to explain things to you and I almost look forward to going to the dentist!

Dr Barley is amazing. I have been terrified of the dentist for 40 years, however, since attending this dental practice 4 years ago most of my fears have gone. Dr Barley is so patient, kind and considerate and has worked miracles with my teeth. I can honestly say, I now have the best teeth since my 20's. The reception staff, especially Karen, and the dental assistants are also so helpful and friendly. I cannot recommend them all enough.

I have been with the practice since I was 11 and would not go elsewhere. Dr Powell and Dr Barley are both brilliant. My only comment would be is that they are very busy and therefore appointments need to be booked in advanced. Although, when I have had emergencies they have always fitted me in (much appreciated). I am lucky enough to be seen by Dr Barley and have always received an excellent service. Before I moved to Cheltenham I really did not like the annual dentist trip and even with a root canal treatment Dr Barley made sure that it was completely painless and I was as comfortable as possible. I have been a patient of the Regncy House Dental Practice for over ten years. I came to them after 35 years of regular dental treatment with another practice but when that dentist retired I had to find a replacement dental practice. On my initial appointment, I was advised that I had severe gum disease. With the help of Dr Chris Barley and recommendations to various specialists plus the continued excellent care of Regency House, it is fair to say I now have teeth which I can be proud of. I could recommend Regncy House for the care and attention they extend to their patients, and just as importantly their friendly approach which makes dental care almost a pleasure!!!!!!!

A great practice , I have been a patient for many years. When I joined I had gum problems which had caused a gap in my front teeth which I was very self conscious of. Chris spent time at my check ups helping me with my gums and giving great advice on home care. Once they were fit and healthy I thought I'd be left with my gappy front teeth :-(. Chris suggested white fillings to build up the teeth too fill the gap , it's now been over 5 years and wow you would never know its not my own teeth. It changed how I felt and I could smile again :-). I'm on the B plan so have regular check ups with Chris and love my visit to Kerry the hygieneist who gets my teeth the cleanest they've ever been. They are a lovely friendly professional team and great service from the receptionist team who are always happy to help. I would never go anywhere else.

I changed my dentist from one in Gloucester to regency a couple of years ago shortly after my partner had done the same. I am extremely pleased with work that I’ve had done by Dr Powell this and the friendly and professional service provided by all of the staff is well worth the trip from Gloucester to Cheltenham.

They give plenty of time to you and really know what they are talking about.
Receptionists are fabulous, the waiting area is large, clean and very calm.
The dentist's rooms are clinically clean and staff super friendly.

Great experience as soon as you walk in. Receptionists are always happy and smiling. Waiting room is well equipped with a choice of hard chairs or leather sofa. Water tea and coffee machine as well if you want. My dentist Dr Powell has your well being as a priority. Explains what he's doing so you don't get any surprises. The room is spotless and we'll equipped.
Over all a 10 out of 10 experience.

Really lovely family practice. Great dental care, that seems comprehensive and expert, all packaged up with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. All the staff are great with kids, and make the experience as nice as possible for them. Never feel rushed, always feel welcome, and also the admin side of things is easy and efficient.

I have used this dental practice since I came to Cheltenham in 2003 and can only say how happy I have been with the service provided by Chris Barley and the team. I have had a life-long phobia of dentists, but Chris and his associate Duncan Powell have just been wonderful. I have had crowns, bridges, and the dreaded root canal treatments with them and their approach has made it so easy to deal with and I am very grateful. They talk you through the whole process and do everything to put you at ease. They also have been great in providing emergency care - efficiently, painlessly, and speedily - as Duncan did for me today! Great aftercare too. I recommend them most highly.
