About a year ago, after not visiting a dentist for a rather long time, I decided to ask the team at Danbury Dental Care to give me a full check up.
Dr Kaly could not be more gentle, in every meaning of the word. Over the next few months, Dr Kaly, Rose, the Dental Hygienist and a dedicated team of nurses and receptionists guided me through the Invisalign programme with professionalism and kindness. I could not express my sincere thanks and praise for them. I now have progressed to infills, giving me a totally straight and beautifully cosmetic smile, which has resulted in a perfect result and was totally painless.

I never write reviews, I read them but never write them!
I absolutely could not not leave one for Danbury Dental.
To say that I am a nervous patient is an understatement, first because I don’t even get to the patient part (haha) but unfortunately a toothache forced me to look for help.
So I sat on my sofa with an ice cube over an insanely painful tooth, googling dentists near me for nervous patients. Danbury came up!
I decided to go…. From a 36 yo independent lady, I have turned into a slobbering mess! Crying, panicking and overthinking! I felt so embarrassed and ashamed… well until I met Kaly and two of her helpers (Beth and Annabelle). To start with, she was so non judgmental, so warm and sweet!
She explained what was happening, what needed to be done, and ooooo boiii there was a lot as I have left it so long!
She gave me some antibiotics and we scheduled a root canal, funny how I am writing this now just after the procedure and not having a melt down!
The dreaded day came and I went in. Tried to turn back a few times, but the reminder of the pain I went through was pushing me to go!
I went in and burst out crying… thank god for lovely Beth who told me that I am totally in control, nothing will be done to me that I don’t want and that Kaly is so experienced and that I am in the best hands.
Then I was called in … panicking, crying and acting insane!
My biggest fear is the injection itself. Kaly was so understanding. We agreed that she will just do a little bit of anaesthetic, while Anabelle held my hand, and I would go for a walk to get used to the feeling.
I came back a few minutes later, still feeling panicky but a bit better… and she did a bit more, and off for another walk I went. I have no idea how she is so patient 😂
Then the root canal began! It was actually a pleasant experience! She was talking me through what she was doing, joking and laughing… it was actually very interesting! It was over before I knew it!
Even though the appointment lasted 70 minutes.
In a weird way I was gutted that it was over as I could have stayed and chatted with them for ages.
If you can imagine having a dental treatment done by your friend, this is what you are in for at Danbury.

Having severe dental anxiety and a very troublesome toothache I contacted Danbury Dental Care. Having had a lengthy conversation with Dionne on reception who assured me I was by no means alone in my fear she made me an appointment to see Dr Kaly who was just so understanding and kind. It seems I needed a tooth extraction and I elected to have this done with sedation. I cannot recommend Dr Kaly highly enough and thank all the staff at the practice for their care and patience. When we first found Danbury Dental for my daughter’s procedure, I was very sceptical. However on the run up to the day of the procedure I had a phone call from the practice manager just to make sure that everything was ok and if we had any questions.
When we entered the practice we were greeted with a happy smiling receptionist, we were seated in a homely well presented waiting area that was relaxing.
The dentist came out to greet my daughter, she was very friendly and made my very nervous and anxious daughter at bit more relaxed.
We were call into the room the dentist told my daughter what was going to happen and reassured her throughout the procedure.
After the procedure the dentist made sure that she was ok talked through the after care that we need to do at home.
This Dental practice is a must if you need your child to have dental work that needs sedation. I cannot recommend enough.

I wish I could give more stars. I cannot recommend this dental practice enough, from Dionne on reception, who was so helpful, to the amazing dentist, Maria. My 12 year old daughter came here for inhalation sedation to have an adult tooth removed. She is petrified of needles and arrived so upset refusing to have it done, Maria came out to talk to her and was so calming my daughter walked into the room and had it done without a fuss. I have never met a dentist so lovely, kind and caring as Maria. She went out of her way to help my daughter feel so safe and comfortable in her care. I am also petrified of dentists but she also calmed my nerves to the point I was able to watch. I have already recommended and will continue to recommend Danbury Dental Care, especially to anyone who is nervous with dentists x

I can’t recommend Danbury Dental care enough! My 7 year old had a tooth extraction with gas and air today, everyone and everything was just incredible from start to finish. Dionne was so lovely on the phone when we enquired and booked, I knew from here that my son would be in good hands. He had a horrible experience at the dentist earlier this year which is why we had to find somewhere we all felt at ease. So much so we drove 2 hours Danbury. Dr Kaly was amazing with my son, nothing was rushed, she talked him through everything and he felt no pain at all and was giggling throughout the whole procedure (with thanks to the laughing gas). To add to that she was so good that he had no idea he even had any injections! Anyone with anxious children or are scared of the dentist, give them a try. You won’t regret it.

We booked in here for my 5 year old son to have Nitrous Oxide sedation with the mask over his nose for tooth removal/fillings after being told NHS is an 8 months wait. We wanted to find somewhere that was really good with children as my son is very anxious and young. Danbury Dental Care was so helpful and all the staff are so friendly. I brought my son in for a visit the day before and the lady at the desk kindly showed him around the lovely building which has a homely feeling and told us some lovely facts about the building. He also met Jess who was going to be assisting the dentist the next day. She let him try on the mask ready.
When we came in to have the procedure done the following dat my son was very worried and the dentist Maria took a long time trying to convince him to try the mask on. She managed to do some temporary fillings and after this he was still worried to put the mask on. My son walked out the room for a break and was kindly made a glass of juice and given time. He then got the courage after talking to another little girl waiting to have a tooth removed. The dentist let him come back in and he got on the chair and once he put the mask on and breathed in the gas he was very relaxed and let Maria remove 2 of his teeth! We was so pleased it finally worked out and there was no forcing or traumatizing. We came out and had a chat with the receptionist again and another dental nurse who was so friendly and pleased for Rory. I would definitely recommend to anyone else with nervous children, it is a lovely setting with lovely staff, thank you!

After a bad experience at the my previous dentist a few years ago I have avoided going, but once I was there Dr Kaly and her brilliant nurse put me right at ease.
For the sedation she let me take my time and the nurse would chat with me and listen to my rambling just to distract me.
It was over before I even realised it. All in time ready for my wedding as well.

I had been looking to join a practice and as someone who would be classed as a nervous patient I felt very reassured when I read that Danbury Dental Care were committed to helping patients like myself who struggle being in the chair. My first appointment with Dr Kaly completely changed the narrative for me when it comes to a dental appointment. For the first time in years I felt relaxed and “almost” anxiety free. For a brief moment my anxiety’s were triggered but Dr Kaly stopped immediately gave me time to settle before continuing. Dr Kaly took the time listen, understand and explain. I cannot recommend these guys highly enough. From the minute you call, or step through the door the receptionist, the practice manager, along with the rest of the team are so warm, welcoming and helpful - whilst being ultimate professionals at the same time.
We drove nearly 40 minutes to get here after they found us an emergency, cancellation appointment in their busy schedule. If ever, in the future, dental treatment is needed I would return here without a second thought.
A massive focus is placed on patient comfort and care. The lovely dentist continuously checked on my apprehensive, young teenage son who was very worried and needed an extraction.
She kept him relaxed throughout the treatment and skilfully removed the tooth for him pain free.

I was surprised about how different it was to other dentists I have been to. The receptionist, the dentist and the nurse were so kind and welcoming. English is not my first language, but they made me feel totally comfortable and my appointment was so calm and actually relaxing! I thought enough was enough and found Danbury dental care online.
From the first telephone conversation with the receptionist who was so understanding, as just ringing the dentist was a fear on mine. The lady I spoke to was so welcoming and understanding, I had my consultation with Kaly which was amazing, I wasn’t scared, she didn’t push me to do anything, I’m embarrassed of my teeth but she made me feel better, and we discussed options for the future, and most importantly she took time to listen to my concerns. I didn’t feel like I had to have a quick consultation and had to leave.
We made a plan to have my two wisdom teeth out which was to be performed under sedation, a few weeks later I returned and I was so scared. But Kaly listened to my some what irrational concerns, and answered them all to put my mind at ease.
The procedure went very well, and I’m back again in a few weeks for stage two of the work needed on my teeth. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second going back, I’m just cross with my self that I didn’t find this dentist sooner, I cannot recommend Kaly and her team highly enough. Lovely understanding people. And great dentists. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am phobic about dentists and had to have 2 teeth extracted last week and was scared to death at the prospect.
I was sedated and didn't know anything about it at all and no pain whatsoever, I didn't even feel the injection.

I was visiting my parents in Danbury this week and was finally persuaded to book an emergency appointment through the dentists that they trust and have always used. I had an ongoing tooth problem that I have ignored for a long time leaving me in pain and causing me problems for several months. I have to say Dan and his team were absolutely fantastic all round. I had an initial check up, x-ray and then the tooth and bad infection completely removed. The whole process was so straight forward with no pain whatsoever. Aftercare was discussed also and the following morning a phone call to see how I was doing. My daughter has severe anxiety and dental phobia and this led to her teeth being in very poor condition. We had tried other dentists but she couldn't cope. Ringing Danbury Dental Care has turned out to be one of the best decisions we ever made. The surroundings don't feel overly clinical. The practice manager, dentist, dental nurse and anaesthetist were all amazing and I cannot praise them enough. The dentist I saw was extremely understanding that I don't like the dentist very much but made me feel comfortable. They explained everything thoroughly to me and showed me the x rays. When I had my fillings done he was a gain very understanding and took the time to make sure I felt comfortable and relaxed.
I had my last filling recently and due to how relaxed and comfortable Amarinder had made me feel previously I managed to keep my eyes open the entire time.

I had my first appointment with Dr Kaly and Jess 2 months ago. Within the first minute, i was shown extraordinary kindness and made to feel very comfortable. But I had meetings with Kaly and the team leading up to it and phone calls and emails to ease my nerves and answer any questions I had! Which comforted me a lot! If it was possible to give more than 5 stars, I would. I went to see Dr Kaly because of a wisdom tooth that was causing havoc. From the first appointment, she was incredibly thorough, explaining everything that she was going to examine and why she would do so, and listened to anything and everything I had to say/ask. I felt 100% reassured and confident that I was in safe hands going into the tooth extraction, which I think is incredibly rare.
Before the extraction, she took the time to sit with me and talk everything through, so I was fully aware of what would happen, and she made me feel incredibly calm. She talked me through each step of the process as it was happening, and my tooth extraction was complete in 2 MINUTES! I felt no pain, and it was way easier than I could have imagined. I’m confident that this was down to Dr Kaly and her assistant Jess’s expertise, and all the information and reassurance given to me in the appointments leading up to the extraction. I Could not recommend this practice more- the receptionist is also always lovely and helpful- really, really a lovely and professional team! Thank you Dr Kaly & Jess

Had my first procedure done today and I honestly wish I could give more stars. Previously had bad experiences with a NHS dentist which stopped me from having a procedure I really needed done. I was so frightened to even have the initial consultation but was made to feel so at ease. Today, with the help of Dan and Geraldine I was able to over come my fear and finally get in the chair and get done what I needed. They also offer sedation at the practice which is fantastic as its not something they offer at NHS dentists. It’s such a homely atmosphere and you don’t feel like your at a dentist when you are there. After getting to know them I will 100% be coming back for regular check ups from here on. I have faced down lions and leopards in my life and survived the bush war in Rhodesia and then in South Africa but I still fear a dentist more. After 30 years of avoiding these dangerous and most fearsome creatures, a rotting tooth finally got me in the dreaded chair. This private practice in the backwaters of Essex rendered up a surprising and wonderful experience. The staff were all extremely professional and caring. Danna the man heading up this practice welcomed me with paws that wrapped my not too scrawny hands in a solid handshake, he was oozing confidence and calm that my innards struggled to mirror. "Let's have a look at those gnashers." he retorted after I had just settled down in a chair that looked more like something designed for the space shuttle. Very modern and a beautifully crafted surgery was the domain Danna commanded. He peered into my mouth and said "Aaargh!". Two x-rays later and after really careful consideration his verdict was the tooth had to be removed. Well to an extremely infrequent dentist visitor like me that was as bad as it was going to get.
Danna explained the problem carefully and with all the compassion of a bedside nurse. Recognising the fear in my eyes he gave me the option to run. The pain and urgency of requiring relief from this fester in my mouth was greater and I was not sure if I would be able to muster the courage to attend his surgery again. So I reluctantly consented. Once Danna the master of the tongs had his mission identified he set about it with the proficiency of a true expert. The tooth was out and lying on the table before I even knew it.
Danna is a true wizard and master of his profession. If you have an emergency or are just looking for a top class dental practice then Danna and his team in Danbury are a must. Five stars for these guys are just not enough. Don’t hesitate. Just call them and experience something from the way back when people still cared and treated you with respect. Guaranteed you will not be disappointed.
